Clergy

The Parish of St Theodore and St Teilo is part of the Archdiocese of Orthodox Churches of Russian Tradition in Western Europe (Rue Daru, Paris), and comes under the oversight of the Metropolitan Archbishop John of Dubna.

The Rev. Dr James Siemens (known in the Church as Father Jacob) is a priest, scholar, and educator within the Orthodox tradition, currently serving as the Rector of the Parish of St Theodore and St Teilo. With a long-standing and deep academic background in Patristics and historical theology, he earned his doctorate with a focus on the Christology of St Theodore of Tarsus, followed by a post-doctoral license with a focus on late antique historiography. He continues to contribute to the field through his role as a research fellow and lecturer. Fr Jacob is a pastor at heart, and shares both his academic expertise and his extensive pastoral experience as principal of the Centre for Orthodox Formation in Western Europe - a theological training centre of the Archdiocese of Orthodox Churches of Russian Tradition in Western Europe. He is married to Matushka Anastasia, and they have eight children.
